2025 Alamo STEM Ecosystem Educator Conference

The Alamo STEM Ecosystem Professional Development Conference is an annual event for San Antonio-area teachers and pre-service teachers (hosted every February). San Antonio is a city rich in STEM-related organizations which provide innovative and relevant resources for teachers. The conference goal is to provide access to and information about these innovative resources through a free, one-day conference specifically for teachers at all career stages. The Alamo STEM Ecosystem is pleased to announce the 2025 Conference will be 100% in-person, hosted by the UTSA College of Education and Human Development.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

For this year’s conference theme, we ask our submissions to focus on the notion of joy and our collective humanity when engaging in STEM ideas and activities. Consider the following questions to guide your proposal: What brings you joy when you collaborate with someone on a STEM project? What innovative strategies or approaches can you share that resonate with students and connect to their humanity, especially for students who do not yet see themselves in the STEM field? What suggestions can you share that will move the STEM field to be more joyous, more collaborative, and more humane? What new directions or practices might help teachers and students to collectively work together on finding solutions to new and existing STEM challenges that we face in San Antonio?

The call for proposals is closed. We welcome both national and local presenters to submit sessions that support San Antonio-area educators!

Priority Submission Deadline: December 20, 2024
Final Submission Deadline: January 13, 2025
Decision & Session Announcements: January 15, 2025
